A fine Japanese red patina bronze fish dating to the Art Deco era, 22″ in length Showa period, early to mid-20th century.
Executed with a fine variegated red and brown “murashido” patina this best in class work of art would be a superb addition for the discerning connoisseur and finest collection.
Murashido bronzes are crafted when the hot bronze is dipped into boiling oil creating a beautiful uniquely Japanese artisan splashy red and sometimes green surface color.
