This is a lovely Japanese antique large 13.5 inch high Japanese arts and crafts period (early Taisho period 1912) green glazed vase featuring a Heron among Iris. It reminds us of America’s arts and crafts Grueby green glazed pottery.
Fine quality, lovely form and a certain conversational work makes this vase ready for your special showcase area. It was likely a one or few of a kind studio production as we have only seen one similar vase with this motif in over twenty five years dealing in rare Japanese pottery…
