Japan, a fine hand-carved wooden pair of small scale screen “ranma” or transoms featuring depictions of “Koi & Waves” – scarce compositions and hard to find today. These carvings in kuri (chestnut wood) dating to the Meiji period late 19th century. Signed.
Hand-carved and meticulously detailed in original natural color making these imposing wildlife sculptures a must consideration.
