Japan, a one of a kind hand cast bronze vase – masterfully hand finished in a sumptuous murashido red oil spot patina with green and dark brown highlights. Murashido is a dipping technique where the hot bronze is covered in oil immediately after firing and then exposed to rice straw smoke.
Stunning finish to this ancient classic Japanese oil pot form studio bronze, and it is signed on bottom. And comes with original signed hinoki wood collector box tomobako

Age: dates to Taisho and Early showa periods (1912-1940’s)
