Rare find 24 feet long
A huge antique communal 24 foot prayer bead necklace consisting of over 1000 handcrafted wooden hard wood beads with a large central largest diameter “Guru bead” and strung on woven natural fiber. Significant wear on all of the beads and their suspension holes.
Lengthy necklaces such as this were often used in Buddhist ritual prayers such as Juzu-Mawashi and sometimes carried by Samurai as protective amulets. (See photos)
